Biography

Kadri Allekand was born in Tallinn, Estonia in 1985. She currently lives with her husband and children in Oslo, Norway. Allekand is an artist whose unique portfolio includes sculptures, installations, drawings and photos. She studied Sculpture at the Estonian Academy of Arts where she graduated in 2009. Kadri Allekand attributes her knowledge of art to various influences including her grandmother, inspiration from biology, and resources found on the internet. 

Over the years, Allekand has created a series of unique portraits of figures ranging from close friends to family members. Most recently Allekand’s crocheted skeletons were included in the 2019 Annual Craft Exhibition at KODE1, Bergen, Norway. Her artwork can be found in a number of countries including Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway and the U.S.
